Meet Splash the Shark, the adorable beginner shark crochet pattern!
If you’re looking for an advanced beginner plush crochet pattern, then Splash the Shark is just right for you! Splash is the newest addition to the cuddle collection at KaCee’s Crochet. And although sharks are not known for their huggability, Splash is cuddly soft, perfectly snuggly and would make the perfect gift for anyone in your life that loves sharks!
When finished Splash measures almost 14 inches long and is quick to put together. This crochet pattern includes a PDF with instructions and photos to create Splash from start to finish. You can even make the top fin striped or not, there are instruction on how to do both. The pattern is an advanced beginner project and uses only basic crochet stitches.
Materials needs for this shark crochet pattern:
7 mm crochet hook
Jumbo weight yarn in desired colors (I used Sweet Snuggles yarn by Loops and Threads, in blue, white, black, and orange.)
Small amount of white worsted weight yarn if you would like to embellish the eyes.
Yarn/tapestry needle
Stuffing
14 or 18 mm safety eyes*
Stitch markers
*Safety eyes are not recommended for toys that will used by children under 3 years old. If you would like to make a toy for a child under 3, an embroidered eye would be really cute!
