Strawberry Buddy is the newest pattern in KaCee’s Crochet Cuddle collection and the first in a series of cuddly fruit! Strawberry Buddy is adorably cute and the perfect size for snuggles! Not only should you eat your fruit, but now you can hug it too!
Strawberry Buddy is made with jumbo weight yarn and measures 11 inches tall. He is super quick to make and minimal sewing is needed. In fact, the Strawberry Buddy pattern uses only basic crochet stitches, so it would be suitable for an advanced beginner. A knowledge of magic circle, single crochet, single crochet increase, invisible decrease, slip stitch, and chain is all you need to know to complete this pattern.This pattern come with a PDF file with pictures to help you make your own Strawberry Buddy from start to finish.
Materials needed for this crochet strawberry pattern:
• 7 mm crochet hook
• Jumbo weight yarn in desired colors (I used Sweet Snuggles yarn by Loops and Threads in Red and Chenille Home yarn by Loops and Threads in Kombu Green)
• Small amount of worsted weight yarn in black and white
• Yarn/tapestry needle
• Stuffing
• 24 mm safety eyes*
• Stitch markers
*Safety eyes are not recommended for toys that will used by children under 3 years old. If you would like to make a toy for a child under 3, an embroidered eye would be really cute!
